Finding of insertion sequences (IS) is one of the important process for bacterial genome annotations because existence of the IS often make a considerable effect to the prediction of protein-coding sequences. GIB-IS is a IS database containing whole bacterial IS data obtained by extracting IS region from publicized nucleotide sequences of DDBJ.
